Personal Trainer session with Matty the PT at JD Gym (Thornton-Cleveleys) – PULL DAY: Barbell row, deadlift, lat pull down, etc

Still on a break from ParkRun – Rowing machine at JD

A visit to Ribby Hall Health Club for some Spa R&R in the sauna, spa pool and steam room, and a body scan. Followed by a rowing session at JD in the evening.

Back to Ribby Hall at lunchtime for another training session. PUSH session with Matt: Rowing machine (warmup), Incline bench press, shoulder press, chest press, press-ups, bicep curls… followed by more relaxation in the sauna, spa pool and steam room.

In the evening it was over to JD Gym for another rowing session.

Personal Trainer session at Ribby Hall – LEGS DAY: Rowing machine (warmup), Barbell squat GVT (German Volume Training) 10 sets of 10 reps at 40kg with 1 min rest between sets, leg press, hyperextensions, dumbbell split lunges.. again, followed by sauna, spa pool and steam room.

Rowing session at JD

A very busy day of fitness and health related activity.

A visit to see Stuart the Physio to check out my knee. No major issues, the knee is stable, no cartilage issues. The work we’re doing in the gym, including squats and lunges is working well to strengten the tendons.

Followed by a Personal Training session with Matt, again at Ribby Hall – PULL DAY: Barbell Row/Kettlebell deadlift superset, seated cable row, machine seated high row, lat pull down, tricep cable pull, bicep curls, core (russian twists/crunches), and more time in the spa 🙂

Ending the day with a visit to JD for a rowing session.
