Nearly 6 months has passed since I started this amazing “journey”. What started out as a simple weight-loss challenge has turned into a total lifestyle reboot. Back in Juy 2023 I could never have imagined being where I am right now, let alone the destination I am heading towards.
Day 182
End of Week Twenty Six โ 19 January
1.6kg (3.5lb) weight loss
Total weight loss, to date
30.6kg (67.5lb / 4st 11.5lb)
That’s a reduction of 27.8% of my starting body weight.
Muscle Mass increased to 80.8% whilst Fat Mass decreased to 15%.
Lean Mass is now up to 85.0% and my Basal Metabolic Age is now down to 50. My aim of getting that below 50 by my 56th birthday – 22 days from now – is looking promissing ๐
And more milestones. Reaching 30kg of weight loss, getting below 80kg, setting a new weight target which is now just 9.6kg away and it’s only been nearly six months since I started this incredible journey.
I’ve now set a new weight loss goal – my final one – to reach 69.9kg (154.1lb or 11st). That will be 40kg (88.2lb or 6st 4.2lb) off my original starting weight or over 36% of me banished! From there the goal will be purely body composition. Building the muscle. Building the body.
FRIDAY – 12 January
My new go-to cardio exercise- the Rowing Machine, and a bit of bicep curling.
SATURDAY – 13 January
A new location for training with Matty the PT today – Ribby Hall Health Club. I’ll still be training at JD Gym with Matty but this makes scheduling sessions much easier, and the facilities are pretty good too.
PULL SESSION – Barbell row 50kg, seated cable row, lat pull down, seated row (traps), Arnie bicep curls and hammer curls, followed by a taste of the spa facilities including the sauna and spa pool.
SUNDAY – 14 January
An active rest day with cardio on the rowing machine.
MONDAY – 15 January
Back to Ribby Hall at lunchtime for another training session. PUSH session with Matt followed by more relaxation in the sauna, spa pool and steam room.
In the evening it was over to JD Gym for another rowing session.
TUESDAY – 16 January
More rowing machine action. I’m using the rowing machine for my cardio workout and generally covering 5K.
WEDNESDAY – 17 January
LEG training session with Matty – Barbell squat, weighted split squats
THURSDAY – 18 January
My regular visit to Andy the Sports Therapist for deep tissue Sports Massage otherwise known as an hour long torture session.
Following Wednesday training session, another active rest day and back on the rowing machine.
FRIDAY – 19 January
Back at JD Gym for a morning training session with Matt. PULL Day – Barbell row, deadlift, lat pull down, tricep pull, bicep curl
