Marathons / Half Marathons go hand in hand with fundraising. As you will have noticed, my participation in the Great North Run is no exception.

When signing up to run for a charity you are pledging to raise a minimum amount for that charity. In the case of Bowel Cancer UK the minimum they like runners to raise is £375. You then can set your own target above this and in my case I was hoping that £1000 would be a fair target to aim for.

Thanks to my generous and ultra supportive friends at JaguarForum.com, my fundraising currently sits at a very healthy £280.

Many people have been following my ‘weight loss’ journey on the JaguarForum since I started in July, when it was just a weight loss goal weeks before gyms and half marathons were mentioned.
