Took myself off to the gym this afternoon with the aim to do 60 minutes on the treadmill at a steady walking pace. Need to lose more weight before I get up to a jogging pace. Bearing in mind I’ve only done 6 minutes on a treadmill ever – and that was last night, under the watchful gaze of Matty the PT.

Well, armed with my earbuds and a Spotify playlist, I managed just over 60 minutes. That’ll do for starters. Also familiarised myself with the changing room and showers.

Pleased with my afternoon trip to the gym. Not setting any speed records, but that wasn’t my intention. I’m just getting used to the environment and the treadmill. Technique and speed will improve over time.
