Whilst my local JD Gym is Thornton-Cleveleys my membership gives me access to all 70+ JD Gyms in the UK.

Today, I was down in Warwickshire at the British Motor Museum for a Jaguar car event.

Having previously visited JD Gym in Derby back in September 2023, I am always keen to visit different JD Gyms whenever the opportunity arises. So today I had planned to drop in at JD Gym Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, picked for its convenient proximity to the M6 on my way back home.

I arrived just after 2pm, changed in the locker room and made my way to the rowing machines. This was to be just a “light” cardio session taking in the bike and the rowing machine followed by sauna and cold showers.

The gym appeared to be smaller than my local, but not lacking in equipment. Perhaps a smaller weights zone but the Sauna was about 50% bigger than Thornton-Cleveleys. Despite the different layout there was a reassuring familiarity.

Perhaps I should take on an “alphabet challenge” to visit and tick off the alphabet of JD Gyms? 😀
